His Dam Bantac Yakima, although now getting older, was a prolific winner in the Show Ring. Her successes include standing Female Champion in 1991 at the Northern Appaloosa Show & Reserve at the National Appaloosa Championships, as well as numerous County Show Championships.
His Sire Sahar Of Nocona has many In Hand & Ridden Championships to his credit including Reserve Champion at the Welsh Appaloosa & In Hand Stallion & Riding Horse winner at the National Show.
The famous Trapeze his Grand Sire was a well known sire of many top Appaloosa Show Horses. He Show Jumped at Novice level then went onto a successful Endurance Riding career.
Performance
By the age of 3yrs Shaimar was already well proven in the Show Ring, he had already won 3 Supreme Championships as well as numerous County Show Championships & wins in non-Appaloosa classes.
This wonderful start to his Show career carried forward to, his 1st under saddle, as a 4yr old, when he was in the top placings every time out.
In the Show jumping ring he has excelled, with substantial BSJA winnings
In March 2000 at the A.E.S. Stallion Show & Grading he was 1st in the 4yr old Stallion Jumping Class attaining one of only 3 double clears.
As a 4yr old he qualified for the British Novice Championship & the Scope Show Jumping Festival., he also qualified British Novice & Discovery Finals & Milton 5yr old Championship for Festival of Show Jumping.
He qualified for Burghley in the 4 & 5yr old Young Event Horse Class. They definitely saw spots before their eyes at the final! Mark Todd wrote about him in the Horse and Hound, describing him as “an extremely good jumper”.
In Sports Horse Classes he shone, he won the 4yr old Performance horse class at the S.H.B.G.B. Show gaining the highest marks in every section, as well as numerous other placings, never out of the top three in any class.
He has three wonderful straight paces & absolutely oozes presence.
Spotty as he is known to his friends has a lovely kind temperament which combined with his ‘drop dead gorgeous’ looks, excellent paces & superb ability are sure to take him to the top.

From his first crop of foals he sired the winner of the foal class & Reserve Female Champion at the North West B.A.P.S. Show. So far he is throwing 70% spotted foals, both leopard stop & blanket spot.
