Work Experience
We take a variety of students for work experience and we get excellent feedback form them all. We cater for Equine Students, School work experience students,Veterinary and Vet Nursing students and students doing a sandwich course who need longer placements.. Foreign students can also be catered for. We have limited self catering accommodation so please book early to avoid disappointment.
As well as the regular courses we run listed below we can organise bespoke days for Schools and Colleges which can be tailor made to fit in with any curriculum.
Students who are studying Equine or Veterinary Nursing can also come along to have a taylor made visit to suit their own learning outcomes. Practical and theoretical sessions can take place to allow for all experience levels. These can include practical sessions on stallion management, semen collection and processing, dummy mare training, STI’s and testing, faecal egg counting, foaling, mare and foal handling A.I, pregnancy scanning, backing and schooling. On top of any of these, theory sessions can also be carried out in our classroom and can include underpinning knowledge on any of the subjects covered in practice.
We already work closely with a number of colleges who regularly bring students to access our superb facilities.
We were winners of the Blue Cross Animals in Education award.
