Care of Your Mare & Foal

Your mare & foal are guaranteed excellent care, throughout their stay.  Karen Raine  owner & manager is a  B.H.S.A.I. & B.H.S. Intermediate Stable Manager. As well as N.V.Q. qualified assessor.
All mares & foals are treated as individuals & any special feeding or care can be organized.
Unsound mares, mares on box rest, mares on medication, mares recovering from lameness or surgery can all be looked after by our team of qualified staff & vets.
Where required mares can go on our Horse walker either for exercise, to keep fit, or for rehabilitation.

 Livery Facilities

A block of 12 x 18 foaling boxes, which are covered by CCTV Mares taken for foaling are covered by CCTV facilities, we can even video the event for you.

• Superb post & rail grazing, with separate mare & foal paddocks.

• Horse walker to enable competition mares to be kept fit if required.
• Wash Room
• Solarium

2012 Stud Keep Charges

Grass Livery (zero rated so no VAT on Grass livery)

• Barren Mare £5.50 per day.
• Mare & Foal £7.0 per day.
• Barren mare living out with field shelter £7.00 per day
• Plus hard feed :-
• Using our Spillers Stud Nuts £1.50 per day Using feed provided by owner £1 per day

Full Livery (plus VAT)

• Pony Barren Mare (up to 14.2hh)  £10 per day.
• Horse Barren Mare (over 14.2hh)  £11.50 per day
• Pony Mare & Foal £12 per day.(stabled at night)
• Horse Mare & Foal £13.50 per day (stabled at night)
• Mare & Foal stabled 24hr £15 per day

Mares for foaling

• Mares are taken for foaling are covered by CCTV & are cared for as our own in foal mares.

• Mare for foaling living out at grass £7 per day includes hard feed (no Vat)
• Pony Mare for foaling living in £13 per day.
• Horse Mare for foaling living in £15 per day 
• Foaling fee £150

These Livery prices are for horses & are a guide as any special requirements can be catered for.
We have some paddocks with field shelters which can be used together with haylage or hard feed as a mid way option to grass livery. We are quite happy for mares to live out in turn out rugs.
